The Wood County Jail Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is a cooperative effort between:
- Wood County Criminal Justice Department
- Wood County Sheriff’s Department
- Wood County Human Services
- Three Bridges Recovery
- Family Health Center
- Wisconsin Department of Justice
The Wood County Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is supported through the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulants and Substance Use Program.
You may be charged a fee for any medical treatment. Medical treatment will not be denied to indigent inmates.
Mission
To reduce the risk of overdose death and enhance treatment and recovery service engagement among the pretrial and post-trial populations leaving jails.
Program Offerings:
- Medication to assist with recovery from alcohol and/or opiates
- Recovery coaching
- SMART Recovery programming
- Financial assistance for transportation and recovery supportive housing
- Medical access to professionals with expertise in primary care and addiction medicine
- Care coordination with re-entry back into the community
- Referral assistance to counseling and ancillary services
Eligibility:
- 18 years of age or older
- Wood County Jail Inmate, Electronic Monitoring Program Participant, or Department of Corrections Probation Holds
- Alcohol or Opioid Use Disorder
- Voluntary participation in program
