Wood County Adult Protective Services recognizes World Elder Abuse Awarenes Day on June 15, 2024. What is WEAAD? The purpose of WEAAD is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic, and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect. We had 318 cases in 2023. Call Human Services at 715-421-4244 or fax 715-996-1022 to make a report.
